Lean Expert - Commercial Processes, London

Project Overview :

We are looking to engage a Lean expert to work on simplification of commercial processes for a healthcare company based in London, UK. Objective: Participates and leads in a continuous improvement and/or efficiency project covering end to end cycle from Tender, Bids to onboarding (includes first invoice) customers. Objective to carry out process mapping, lean processes and reviewing ownership which are effective to improve bid/ tender cycle times and quality. Overall Purpose of the Role: Participate and contribute in lean improvements activities, looking at process value map, quality, delivery, productivity, cost and efficiency and finally customer risk assessment, delivering benefits to support customer satisfaction. Key Responsibilities General and Task Management • Within area of responsibility analyse current above work practices/ processes to improve business processes effectiveness and faster decision making supported by clear landscape on risks (covering customer and Olympus) and costs. Devise and test solutions and roll out new ways of working • Participate in Lean health checks and go/no goes • Perform process audits and streamlining processes within area of responsibility • Process mapping, value stream mapping, identifying inefficiencies in productivity with a particular focus on layouts and sequencing • Recommend to management changes that can cut waste and improve risk mitigation from operating procedures • Deploy appropriate methodologies to problem solving and support teams to solve problems. Ensure the escalation process for problem solving is effective • Demonstrate performance excellence behaviours within the business • Support the business in establishing “best practice” • Implement standard work, visual and risk management factory and error proofing (poka yoke) • Undertake continuous training and development, where applicable • Perform root cause analysis and resolve problems
